Social Intelligence and Interaction in Animals, Robots and Agents

AISB'05 will be held on the College Lane Campus of the University of Hertfordshire. There is no accommodation available to AISB'05 delegates on this campus.

AISB'05 has been able to obtain a limited number of rooms in halls of residence on the University's De Havilland Campus, which is situated approximately 1 mile from the College Lane Campus. A free shuttle bus service, running at fifteen minute intervals throughout the day, connects the campuses. The halls of residence are just 400m from the shuttle bus stop.

NB: The availability of the on-campus rooms is limited and any booking must be received by *10th March 2005*

The University also has arrangements with several hotels and guest houses in the locality which make accommodation available at predetermined prices. Reservation of rooms in the hotels and guest houses listed here is not being administered by the AISB'05 organisation team. Delegates wishing to reserve a room should contact the hotel directly and any reservations made are ultimately arrangements between the delegate and the establishment concerned. However, delegates are advised to mention that they are attending AISB'05 at the University of Hertfordshire and quote the reference "University of Hertfordshire AISB" when discussing reservations, as many establishments have offered preferential rates. Any delegates experiencing difficulty with obtaining a suitable room reservation are welcome to contact the AISB'05 organisation team (email to r.j.guscott at herts.ac.uk) for advice.

Most of the hotels listed below offer rooms on a twin occupancy basis in addition to single occupancy, at a lower per person rate. This may be of interest to delegates wishing to reduce the cost of accommodation and who are prepared to share a room. To allow those delegates to make contact with other like-minded delegates, the AISB'05 organisation team will operate a system of email broadcasts to all registered AISB'05 delegates.

Although the De Havilland Campus Refectory is closed during the Easter vacation, meals are available in the 'Sports Café' at Sports Village.

All AISB'05 delegates get membership of the De Havilland Sports and Social Club (DHSSC) for the duration of the convention. DHSSC is a commercially run club, separate from the University of Hertfordshire. The facilities of the club include two bars and a snooker room.

Due to limited availability, these rooms are being offered only to delegates who register for the full convention, are offered subject to availability, and will be allocated strictly on the basis of sequential order of applications received.
